The Zanc Report

I have just returned from SPLASH 2026, which was colocated with ISSTA in Oakland, California.

I've raised a few PRs against the Guix Codeberg repository recently, and each time I've done so with Forgejo's AGit workflow.

Recently I've been trying to get a PR merged with some fixes for Lua.

Up until a few months ago, I was working on a Ruby on Rails monolith.

I recently started a PhD at the Australian National University, doing research into gradually typed programming languages.

I wrote a post just under two years ago about setting up this blog, and then I didn't write anything else!

As this blog enters the world, let us begin in the customary way: "hello, world!"
