Painted Pixels Blog

Every year I try to do a little bit of gaming specifically tied to the Halloween season.

I can't believe the 30th anniversary of the N64 just happened a couple days ago!

A funny thing happened at the last show that I was a vendor at.

quick note: I wrote this blog post before Meta’s Connect 2026 event.

Anyone that knows me fairly well probably knows I have a passion for physical media, especially when it comes to things like video.

So I feel like things are happening on my website lately.

This is a short browser based game made by Satchmo1991 that I found through a Mastadon post two weeks ago.

If you’ll turn your attention to the upper right corner of the main page, you’ll notice there’s now a music player there!

It looks like I haven’t been very good with keeping the monthly ‘what I’ve been playing’ post going!

I decided to take the plunge recently get a new pocket retro gaming device.

It’s been a while since I’ve tried making a game.

A lot has been said of Atari’s E.T. game, over the years.

Years and years ago, back when the original DS was absolutely huge, the Nintendo World store in New York offered a pretty cool feature where you could pay to have them engrave something on your DS!

If I’ve been keeping up with my new Backloggd account I mentioned last month, and I think that I have, I have not played a large number of games this month.

Geez, I’m bad at regularly blogging, even when it’s about something I like, like games!
