An Almost Anonymous Blog

In my week notes today, I wrote a semi-nonsensical blurb about resolutions.

With week 42 complete, it's time for me to remind everyone that there are now 9 weeks left in 2026.

One of the unfortunate things about moving a music library between macbooks is that for some reason, album artwork gets lost.

First of all, I'm OK.

I've wanted to write a post for a few days now, but work commitments (and being in the office without privacy) have held me back.

A while back I wrote about mobile photography and ever since I have been thinking about various options for something I can easily slip into my pocket.

And just like that we're in October.

I'm not certain where this list originated, other than it being "The New York Times".

This was an amazing week!

While figuring out what I could do for a breakfast smoothie with ingredients on hand this morning, I learned of a neat trick for hulling strawberries: using a straw.

I'm sitting here in front of my desktop PC to type this, fresh from grocery store-bought dinner; beside me is my mid-2012 MacBook Pro, booted to Linux Mint from USB (it hasn't been installed yet, it's just the live drive).

People continue to do neat things with Obsidian.

I'm not certain why the idea popped into my head two weeks ago to turn my S9+ into a dedicated audio player (DAP); but the idea was there, so last week I got started on the transformation.

We travelled back home after spending a week with my in-laws; I played the first game of Fall Ball and then had the year-end tournament that same weekend.

📺 Watched: Star Trek Strange New Worlds S4E8 "Orders of Magnitude" ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easily my favourite episode of the season.

📺 Watched: Gilmore Girls S1E1 "Pilot" & S1E2 "The Lorelais' First Day at Chilton" Having watched the series a few times with my wife, it's interesting to note that aside from different sets the characters are mostly fleshed out the way they end up later on

📺 Watched: Star Trek The Original Series S1E5 "The Enemy Within" Aka Shatner chews the scenery.

We started the week back at my in-laws; my mother-in-law fractured her shoulder and needed support in addition to already needing to support my father-in-law.

📺 Watched: Star Trek Strange New Worlds S4E7 "Like Chronitrons Through the Hourglass".

Found this video in my recommendations after I watching a different video.

📺 Watched: Star Trek The Original Series S1E3: "Where No Man Has Gone Before" & S1E4: "The Naked Time".

This morning I read an interesting blog post from gobino: 📱I don’t/can’t enjoy mobile photography.

I've told this to Brandon by email, but I've really enjoyed his writing of his experiences working at Blockbuster, titled "The Blockbuster Chronicles".

This afternoon my wife and I drove to the hospital for the baby's anatomy scan.

📺 Watched: Star Trek Strange New Worlds "Off-Hour" S4E6 One of the better episodes this season!
