Windsor and Maidenhead Town Crier

In February 2026 I spent a fun day with eight other criers and a guy called ‘Big Zuu’; a well known rapper, foodie and tv presenter who joined us criers at Shoreditch Town Hall for a bit of on the job training.

Updated in 2025 My livery looks great but the one thing letting it down (besides the chap wearing it) is the town crier scroll which I made a few years ago from an old pair of trousers, a broomstick and four doorknobs.

Wildcat Willie asked me to come over and officially congratulate the founders of the Windsor and Eton Brewery on fifteen years of brewing award winning ales.

The lovely Swan Public House in Clewer won a huge award last month.

And what a swell party it was!

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited to Reading for a chat on BBC Radio Berkshire.

One of the very best things about being Town Crier is that you get invited to be a part of some really special events.

“Remember to use your inside voice“.

Town Criers know that not all words are equal.

On the 11th September 2022 I was honoured to read the official Accession Proclamation in Windsor town centre.
