After completing a month traveling around Spain by train, it was time to cross the border into a new country – France!

Bonjour from Paris – where are wrapping two months since we landed in Europe.

When we landed in Madrid on August 6, we only had our train to Zaragoza for the solar eclipse and our return cruise in October booked.

We have just wrapped up a full month exploring Spain on our European 2026 adventures!

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of navigating pre-planned logistics to get our boat into storage, our van loaded up and into storage too.

After we wrapped up our time in the New York City area, we decided to divert off the official Great Loop route and head down the East River into Long Island Sound.

Cruising past the Statue of Liberty is an iconic moment in most Looper’s journey.

After wrapping up our amazing month in Philadelphia, it was time to tackle our fears.

We take so many side trips off the Great Loop, and they end up being some of our best experiences.

We were successfully splashed after winter storage at McDaniel Yacht Basin in North East, MD in mid-April.

One of the things that drew us to getting a lot at SKP Saguaro Co-Op RV Park was that many of the lots have casitas on them.

Last we left you, we had just departed Benson, AZ in our van after abundant winter season at SKP Saguaro Co-Op.

Today is a pretty major milestone – I have now been a full-time nomad for twenty years!

Wow, did the past 2.5 months go by fast!

Our journey as app developers all started when we tried to buy some beer… in Kansas.

Whew… it’s been nearly 3 months since we left Y-Not stored in northern Maryland for winter and hit the road.

And the end of another year is upon us!
