History in 3D

In anticipation of the Christmas and New Year holidays, I released a new video on YouTube showing what the Forum Romanum might have looked like, decorated for the holidays.

I’m continuing to work on a 3D reconstruction of ancient Rome and returning to regularly releasing videos on YouTube and posting regularly here on the website.

We’re getting back to active work, and soon the website will feature many new and interesting publications, both about the progress of our project and about Rome in general.

The Lupercalia was one of the most ancient and mysterious festivals in ancient Rome, celebrated on February 15 from the earliest times until the end of the ancient era.

Our project, “Rome in 3D,” is progressing in several directions simultaneously.

The goal of our project is not only to recreate ancient Rome in 3D with the utmost accuracy, detail, and completeness, but also to provide an opportunity for anyone interested to explore it.

This past year, we continued to move towards our goal – creating the most detailed, accurate and complete virtual 3D reconstruction of ancient Rome.
