Hung Truong: The Blog!

Last week I went to a GDG Ann Arbor Android meetup on Android Wear.

This past month at FarmLogs, we implemented a versioning scheme for our internal API.

A few weeks ago my friend Emily asked me to speak at the Ann Arbor Mini Maker Faire for their speaker series.

Since the beginning of time, humans have wanted to mount small computers on their heads.

Here's a giant post of stuff I've been doing with Google Glass!

For the past few weeks I've been learning Android development in order to diversify my skill set a bit.

For the past few weeks, I've been learning Android and porting one of my iOS apps to the platform.

Obligatory double-glasses Glasshole shot.

In terms of gaming I feel like I'm pretty inconsistent.

A common piece of advice to developers that I often hear is that they should try to contribute to open source projects.

When I was at my previous job, one task I had was localizing a large set of phrases to multiple languages, both in text and audio files.

I just wrote a couple of tweets about this, but maybe this is a better blog post subject.

This is one of those blog posts that's basically for me and anyone else who cares to Google these search terms, so yeah.

A good while ago, I wrote a blog post about how my blog was pharma hacked, and I thought I had gotten rid of it.

I just had another dream that felt very real up to the moment when I checked my phone and realized I hadn't won on Jeopardy.

I had a weird dream that won't fit into Twitter, so I might as well write it down here since my blog hasn't seen much love lately.

Some rights reserved by Adam Mulligan I checked SXSW today and noticed that the deadline for panel proposals is tonight.

As I mentioned on Twitter a while back, I got a cease and desist request from craigslist a couple of weeks ago for Mapskrieg (my craigslist + Google Maps mashup for web and iOS).

I noticed that the Google results for my blog have been showing ads for pharmaceuticals.

I wrote in my New Year's Retrospective that my greatest fear for 2012 was that I would not get as much done as in previous years due to working a regular job for the first time in years.

When Betsy left to work at Razorfish, I decided to commandeer her desk.

I signed up for the Google Music beta a while ago and promptly forgot about it.

I was at Whole Foods today getting some groceries when I came across this mini food testing area at the end of an aisle.

I was thinking about the latest news from Apple, that they were partnering with textbook publishers to bring cheaper textbooks directly to the iPad while at the same time releasing an application for anyone to publish iBooks for the Apple Bookstore.

Last year I wrote a review of the stuff I had accomplished in 2010.

I often have the problem that the moment I realize I'm dreaming, I wake up.

I read a tweet from someone a while back about how they used Google Adwords to max out their Dropbox referral disk space.

I sort of have a tradition when it comes to Facebook updates.

If you know me or if you read my blog, you know that I have been a huge fan of Threadless since I first found out about it in 2005.

This past weekend I participated in my first NYC hackathon.

It's been a while since I've posted on my blog; I've been super busy with my startup!

I was lucky enough to get an early invite to Spotify last week thanks to my high Klout score (I honestly think anyone with a pulse got an invite) and I've been playing around with it for a few days.

I was sitting on the subway when I got a random email from Banana Republic that contained my password in plain text.

I've been in New York working on our startup for about 5 weeks now.

So I've been relatively quiet on this piece of news for a while, but since I'm moving to New York in like, two days, I figure I should post something about it.

I kinda got tired of the Guile ringtone on my iPhone, so I made a Nyan Cat one.

There are a few memes that are pretty regularly printed on Threadless.

I read a blog post about Engineers and Delayed Gratification a while ago from ex-Googler and ex-Microsoftie Ninane Wang that made me think.

These last few weeks have been really, really bad for the internet.

It's been about 4 years since I announced the launch of Mapskrieg, my Google Maps and craigslist mashup web app.

In the beginning of February this year there was some mild uproar about Google setting up an elaborate sting operation against Bing to prove that Bing was copying search results pages directly from Google using the Bing Toolbar.

About a week ago I thought about working some more on ♥s Threadless, my fan made iPhone app.

In order to prevent my future self from wasting like, 2 hours fucking around with UISplitViewController getting it to auto-rotate its subviews, here's a little post!

Lately I've been playing around a lot with Google App Engine.

I had some spare time on Monday and just read about Greplin getting some funding (and I guess they just went out of private beta today), so I did the Greplin Programming Challenge.

I saw this new shirt on Threadless and was surprised it hadn't already done!

About two weeks ago I updated one of my apps to use AdMob mobile ads when iAd fails to deliver (pretty damn often).

While I was testing Instascriber , I noticed that the way that Instapaper was grabbing the content of my blog was a little off.

I just recently finished reading a book, so I better write up a review so I can collect my free Pizza Hut Personal Pan Pizza!

It looks like Google has updated their Latitude app with checkins, including automatic notifications and checkins (and checkouts).
