FOND/SOUND

A good while ago someone asked me, “Why did you name your radio show: Digging Deep?”

If there’s anything I can affirm, after writing so much about music, it’s this: there are no firsts.

Can you feel it?

For lack of a better word, some of the “coolest” albums I own are, for all intents and purposes, those one-and-done records capturing a unique talent or singular idea that others can’t or couldn’t quite understand at the time.

As a huge fan of music of any stripe, one of my favorite things to do is simply follow wherever any piece of music takes me.

I have to confess: it’s never a great start when one’s research yields more questions than answers.

Of all the reasons I keep this blog going, one of them has to be this: we need new heroes.

Summer is more than a season.

What’s more heavenly than taking a hard-earned break?

With most of us knee-deep in the dog days of summer, I thought I’d do something different.
