Boy I feel like this post has been a long time in the making.
-
This project has been finished for a while now, about 6 months or so, and I feel pretty confident that this system is set to stay unlike the last samba & MADM setup I blogged about when I first started Lambdacreate.
-
I've recently had a number of friends migrate over to Alpine linux, and a couple of them have also become package maintainers!
-
The transition from year to year is always fun, it's a time to reflect on what has been accomplished, and start looking towards what you'd like to do.
-
Holy cow, it's the end of the year already, that's absolutely ridiculous on a lot of different levels.
-
So I sat for my LFCE (Linux Foundation Certified Engineer) certification exam on the 19th, and it's safe to say that I don't think I did particularly well.
-
This is a short one, and a weird one, obviously my blog is not in any way shape or form geared towards Windows, or anything Microsoft for that matter.
-
Disclaimer: This may seem a bit long winded and bloated, I apologize in advance.
-
A few weeks ago I stumbled across this wonderful little blog post written by Solene, where she and a cadre of like minded friends spent a week using only their oldest computers.
-
Anyone who uses IRC these days is aware of what happened to Freenode, so I won't go into details on any of that, but for me the exodus from Freenode resulted in a trifurcation of weechat configuration nonsense.
-
As I regain some semblance of myself, and my free time, I'm going to try and ramp back up the blog posts.
-
I've spent most of today, and really the last month, actually lets step back even further.
-
We're ushering in the new year with an absolutely bizarre, but as far as I'm concerned wonderful Unix distro called Plan9!
-
Notice Thanks to an absolutely delightful contribution from Jesse Laprade Lambdacreate now has a compliant RSS feed!
-
I've recently re-fallen in love with MikroTik equipment.
-
At Chenmark a lot of what I've been doing up to this point has been building infrastructure, but every once in a while I get to step back and write a tool with a purpose to bridge a gap.
-
I feel like a lot of the time I'm playing with blocks, like I grew up doing, as I've watched my son do as he's progressed.
-
There's been a ton going on since my last post.
-
I recently joined a new online community.
-
Life moves at a constant steady clip.
-
For a few years I've been running a RHEL server for my bulk storage, and as a small home hypervisor.
-
Site Update!
-
Thanks to the willingness of Technomancy & Jaawerth to answer my ever growing font of questions, I've gotten a wrap on Macros in Fennel.
-
It's here!
-
From time to time I get a little lost trying to translate Lua to Fennel, and while the language resource is an absolute blessing to have, sometimes I need things spelled out for me explicitly.
-
As I guessed in my last post, I spent a large portion of the drive up to Maine working on toAPK, specifically on my little Nokia N900.
-
In the midst of a move, and faced with a 23 hour drive across nearly the entire Eastern sea board, I get to put my mobile systems to the test!
-
In just a few days, I'll officially be a Mainer.
-
SBCL 2.0.3 was just accepted into Alpine Linux, I'm finally looking at a high possibility that it will be compilable on musl libc for aarch64, and all of that means I might finally be able to move SBCL out of Alpine's testing repo and into Community.
-
I truly love working in the Open Source community.
-
Ever since finding Docker containers a couple of years ago I've been using them obsessively.
-
In the first post I eluded to the fact that LambdaCreate is written in Lua, and then I completely ignored that to talk about Docker.
-
Welcome to Lambda Create!
-
Lambda Create is written in Lua, with etlua for HTML templating and runs inside of a Lapis Docker container.
