Notes From The Bunker

I used to know a guy out near Hamilton who had a wonderful piece of property that butted up against the rifle range.

There’s the old saying about ‘not being able to see the forest for the trees’.

So the terrain at the Beta Site is, to put it mildly, challenging.

While I don’t need no stinkin’ badgers, I apparently have one: (Note, thats a badger…not the Badger.)

Rolled into the Hamilton gun show this afternoon.

Happy Paratus, my droogs!

Well, they’ll be a little late but Paratus cards went out today.

Paratus cards arrived today…later than I expected.

So, the background here is that The Jacekry, which has been working out quite well, has a hiccup – because of the type of battery it uses, charging it when the temp is below freezing will damage the battery.

Paratus, the holiday by, for, and of survivalists, is this Friday.

So its been a week since I left the Jackery and panels set up at the Beta Site and left Starlink running off it so I can get live camera feeds from up there.

I went and saw “The Dog Stars’ last week.

I had mentioned that the wireless camera I had set up was running on its own internal battery that was recharged using a Goal Zero panel I plugged it into.

One of the things that has been an inconvenience at the Beta Site is the lack of cell signal for my gamecams.

Okay, not my best moment.

You coming back or what?

I know very little about power tools but I have a surprising number of Milwaukee tools sitting here.

The bears have gotten smaller and more colorful.

Summer is slowly dying.

Back after doing a little traveling.

Previously, when using the Starlink up at the Beta Site I have either used a small battery backup brick, or I’ve used an adaptor that lets me use my Milwaukee M18 batteries that power my tools.
