HA’s older son “L” is here for an indefinite stay with his ladyfriend.

Some neighbors have set up a GMRS radio network in our area, and 30+ of us have radios, licenses, and participate in a periodic “net” to make sure everyone knows how to use the radios in event of a disaster.

The gentleman who has done the bulk of the work on getting our GMRS network up and running is a bit flummoxed by antenna theory.

This is irony.

There is a lot to love about life in our island paradise.

Some time in the late 1970’s early 1980’s, I walked into Clark Dye Hardware [dickover warning] and bought a staple gun.

For the past week or so we’ve been hearing scurrying in the kitchen and bathroom at night, and we’ve found some small rodent droppings in the day.

Way back in 1990 or so, I was a college student who carried cards with the title “World’s Oldest Pre-med.”

Back on the 21st of August, I had a video appointment with my nephrologist.
