ToaruOS - A Hobby Operating System for x86 PCs

ToaruOS 2.3 is now available.

After many betas and several years of work, ToaruOS 2.0 is now ready for release.

Once again, it has been quite some time since I last published a new blog post, and quite a lot has changed with ToaruOS.

Sometimes I forget I even have this blog.

It's been a while since I posted something here and a lot has happened.

In light of GitHub's acquisition by Microsoft, we are migrating to GitLab.

After six years of development, I am very happy to finally announce the 1.0 release of ToaruOS.

It's been over a year since my last blog post, and a lot has happened in ToaruOS and my own life in that time.

For several years now, our primary branch has been called strawberry-dev.

I recently gave a talk on the past five years of ToaruOS development and have obtained the video for publication.

The first Live CD pre-release of ToaruOS is now available on our Github releases page.

It's been nearly a year since I last posted an update, but in that year there's been a solid bit of development activitiy.

I'm heading to Tokyo again in under a week, as I routinely do.

Panic screens are an important part of any OS - they allow you to see not only that you've made a mistake, but often why and how.

In developing とあるOS, I've had a consistent focus on UI.

I've decided to start from scratch (once again) on the toaruos.org site.
