I’ve been working on a desktop application built with Tauri for the last few months.

The other month I wrote more generally about how I’m navigating AI hype and an uncertain future.

Update I’ve added a post about the ethics of all this stuff, which I really should have written first.

This week I came across an article about Kohler being able to access supposedly E2E encrypted user data.

Update I’ve since updated this approach to use a small wrapper script so it’s a lot more ergonomic.

As I mentioned in my last post, I left my job as the Engineering Lead at a small company a couple of weeks ago.

Just this week, I left a company that I’ve been with for nearly four years.

I’ve been working with Caddyfiles a lot recently and Neovim doesn’t handle syntax highlighting or formatting them out of the box.

I think it’s important to support good software and good people.

This is a continuation of a previous post that covers setting up Caddy.
