Intro This summer, I ran a three session mini-campaign of the Boreal Frostlands from Games Omnivorous using a modified Cairn rule set.

I have been re-writing Castle Ravenloft in the world of Mörkbörg, with the intent to run as an extended 1-shot.

I have been a fan of the Eberron D&D game setting ever since my middle school self played a1-shot at my local game store as part of its debut.

I had the fortune to get to run two games this past week despite not GMing an active group right now (we’re on extended summer break while I start a move).

I got the idea to run Castle Ravenloft as a 1-shot a few years ago from Sly Flourish.

When players are heading into a new area, I ask if there’s anything in town they would like to buy or prepare and then am met with a brief silence before they ask for health potions.
