Soul Riot

Today, for the first time, I witnessed the hunt.

What better place to hang out than the slightly rusted, slightly crooked driveway gate, with its formerly white slats offering easy transitions from one side to the other, and easy access to the top bar, where the flies also hang out?

Getting closer and closer.

In the field By grandma’s house We saw a nail - Bent and rusty, Sticking out Of an abandoned board.

Our local white-tailed deer (and geese) did not object to modeling for a short while.

A few days after his first session, I got a chance to have a second opportunity to photograph the Black Swallowtail.

The sunlight was already strong, and the white of the house was blinding.

I decided to buy a camera, after years of simply using my iPhone, because I wanted to capture the colors and the beauty of the bustling insect life in my backyard.

It took me almost one year to complete Willy's portrait.
