On our second full day on Maui, we drove our rental car to the summit in Haleakalā National Park.

We went out to Leilani’s On the Beach in Lahaina on Maui for a fancy dinner: We wandered around the Whalers Village shops after dinner, and saw a rainbow:

We spent our first full day on Maui mostly at the resort, relaxing and exploring.

We stayed at Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows on Maui.

Since our Alaska trip was postponed, we decided to commiserate with a trip to Hawaii instead.

Today marks the five year anniversary of our first night of RV life, when we bought and spent our first night in our 2017 Tiffin Allegro Bus 40SP motorhome.

With our truck totaled, it was time to consider our options.

Back in June I posted a couple of real-time updates about how our truck’s front frame broke after a fuel stop, leaving the truck sitting at a service road intersection, with our coach dragging the bumper and tow base plate.
