It's been almost two weeks since I got back home from the Bay Area (and from Korea before that).

I checked in for my flight back to Kauai Thursday afternoon and (as I often do) upgraded my seat to an exit row.

I was feeling nauseous and my heat regulation was off by the time I hit Salt Lake City, which meant I really wasn't looking forward to the flight to San Jose.

Woke up Monday morning for my last day in Seoul.

Tonight we went to the Bridge Festival at the Submerged Bridge (which we'd biked across yesterday).

Kimberly was not up to our morning walk this morning.

The plan today was biking.

Yesterday night was very unpleasant.

With museum/cultural days planned for yesterday and tomorrow, today we ended up spending the day in nature, and there's a pretty surprising amount of it despite Seoul being such a big city.

The rest of the flight into Seoul was no problem.

Our original plan was to leave for the airport today at 9am.

Today, the County is still saying that you should stay at home except for "essential travel".

I neglected to write about the hi-jinks at Skechers while I was trying to buy my shoes yesterday.

Last night we saw Les Misérables at the Diamond Head Theatre.

We're on Oahu again for our anniversary.

I picked my folks up at the airport this afternoon to take them home after their recent visit to the Bay Area, and I was astounded to hear that though they've been on island for almost 20 years, they've never experienced a Tropical Storm.

My favorite genre of board game is increasingly the creative game.

I used to journal with at least some regularity, but I hardly ever do any more.

Another play on Sunday, "The Play that Goes Wrong".

We finished our winter Sondheim trilogy last Friday with "Assassins" (having previously seen "Into the Woods" and "Sunday Afternoons in the Park with George" while in California for Christmas, which when you put them all together is oddly enough Sondheim's

I: AVE MARIA We've now had our new Kia for almost a week.

I find it entirely bizarre, but there is now a new car parked in our garage.

Today Julie the Benz went in to get her "check engine" light checked and it was sadly bad news.

My last day in California was spent (shocker) gaming!

We are heading home *tomorrow*!

A few years ago we expanded our days-in-Berkeley (sometimes Oakland) from three to four, mainly to make sure K. had plenty of time to visit with all of her friends.

As I already wrote, Monday was our travel day, and the only thing that I didn't write about was its annoying end.

We were up at 6am to make sure we had plenty of time to be ready & settled before we headed to the airport for our yearly trip to San Martin & Berkeley.

I haven't written to my personal journal since October 12th, and that's because of the crowdfunding.

I've done five interviews in the last week and a half.

I had been fearful that we'd spend the whole week stressed over Elmer's transition to his new home and how well he was eating and such.

I had one last fear for Elmer's move: that he wasn't going to eat properly once he got to Boston.
