Sam Warnick

I've long considered my hobby to be hobbies.

If you're not familiar with the Rube Goldberg machine that powers this blog, here's the high level.

I just felt like posting something.

I added a new /bookshelf page.

I've had this idea in my head for a bit to start developing a styleguide for this blog.

To make things easier for myself, I made a couple shortcodes with Eleventy.

This will probably start sounding pretty negative, but I'm hoping it will turn around by the end.

The builds for this site on Netlify took about 2 to 3 minutes.

When my daughter and I went to the Destined Rivals prerelease event, we got talking with some people.

Here's some things on my list.

Dave and I were chatting the other day and he asked why I blog.

I was helping interview a candidate at work today.

I made some trading cards for my friends in a Discord server we are all in together.

Over on catskull.net, Dave is working on some wild stuff.

Dave mentioned in the Discord™ that he wanted a link to take you to a random post on his blog.

I had a small epiphany the other day.

This is just for me.

I was sick.

TBH, I'm getting a little bored with Perfect Todos.

Feels like I'm just moving from one existential crisis to another.

This last week was spent implementing todo reordering.

There's been a little chatter about slash pages, so figured I'd post about mine.

Not the most productive of weeks.

Going to try bringing devlogs back, but at a weekly cadence.

It's been a little more than 4 weeks since I've been waking up earlier.

I was getting real close to starting a new task app.

A couple of weeks ago, a blog post started circulating about how your app should be a website.

I enjoy using iA Writer to draft blog posts.

TL;DR Adding a 3rd child to our family really threw me for a loop.

Like a lot of people, my day is pretty much foot on the gas pedal from the time my kids wake up until they go to bed.

Christmas Eve Christmas Eve was usually the day we decorated the Christmas tree.

I've been watching a lot of studio tours lately.

A couple of weeks ago, I built a little app to help me keep track of all the Eevee Pokémon cards and which I own.

Pokemon Pocket is the newest mobile Pokemon game.

So Apple is buying Pixelmator.

My newborn was taking an unusually long nap the other day.

A new, blank notebook is an obligation of something that needs to be filled.

About 6 months ago, I wrote about The Perfect Stack.

I was reading Dave's post on index card journaling the other day.

Sometimes I just get a lot of ideas of things I want to blog about all at the same time.

I've been using Portainer on my Synology to handle Docker stuff.

I've tried a lot of content creation things.

I opened my BrickLink store earlier this year.
