Plotted some postcards for the Patreon supporters, worked perfectly.
-
Got some Molotow empty pens, that I can fill with ink/paint.
-
Went back to using the POSCA pens to make another FALLiNGWATER print, so I can compare it with the rubber stamp version.
-
Just chilling in the studio.
-
Did the final colour pass, pretty pleased with this one!
-
Got to finish this print/plot - it takes a long time to go back and forth and stamp all these dots.
-
Got Kitty to draw my calendars for me.
-
Does this go under the FALLiNGWATER project?
-
Part of the FALLiNGWATER project was making a soundtrack to go with it, which was published on Spotify.
-
Started playing with an ordered dithering algorithm, to convert images into shaded dithered dots.
-
The Fibonacci thing was good, but I think picking the colours randomly doesn't give the best result when you move further away from the middle of the pattern.
-
Planted a whole bunch of bulbs, we'll see how they do.
-
After experimenting with the POSCA pens and the envelope code, I've had a go at writing code specifically for dealing with the pens, rather than kinda hacked stamper-to-pens code.
-
Another morning sunrise.
-
Well this is a fun new development in envelope making.
-
Added another new tool to Kitty.
-
A new tool added to the "Kitty manages everything in my studio" arsenal.
-
Started recording the Pen Plotter Tutorial videos, this was the setup today.
-
Had a visitor to the garden this morning.
-
Two views of the sunrise from this morning, I liked the colours in the sky.
-
I like this photo of the ArtFrame, it's still making envelopes for me, a handful a day.
-
Looks like the Sweet Peas are sprouting!
-
Been plotting/stamping some envelopes in preparation for Yule/Christmas/Holidays.
-
Example of the difference between Kitty's handwriting (on the left) and my handwriting (on the right), and why I generally let Kitty write in her own handwriting when I do anything that I or anyone else will need to actually read.
-
Quickly plotting some last minute Halloween cards.
-
Realised I did't have a project for general drawing machine stuff, better fix that.
-
The Cornflowers seems to be doing okay, and the Larkspur has started to sprout too.
-
Had to help a couple of people use the Riso machine, and as I hadn't used it myself for a couple of weeks I wanted to make sure it was still working okay, as they don't like to stand doing nothing for too long.
-
Cornflowers are growing pretty well in the greenhouse.
-
(Guess the image uploading works now)
-
Here's some leaves from walking in this morning.
-
After a somewhat rough Monday where I didn't feel well at all, it's nice to come back into the studio and be told to take it easy.
-
I mean, I don't need 10 tiny hands.
-
Mini breakthrough today, adjusted the code that cuts out envelopes and the code that stamps them to work on repeating patterns on larger sheets and cut "perforations".
-
Finally moved the autocue out of the middle of the room, and now I feel like I've gotten both my studio and the table that I had to sit at for filming back.
-
Figured stars may be fun too!!
-
Figured that if I could make a 3d printed holder for the Cricut blade, then I could make one of the scorer/creaser too.
-
For various reasons I needed to raise the pen plotter up by 37mm - 3d printing to the rescue.
-
3d printed a holder for a Cricut cutter blade, and amazingly it works.
-
I've taken to starting the day by drinking a pint of water, with lime juice, eating some greens and writing for about 20 minutes.
-
I've taken to writing in the greenhouse in the morning, and decided to sew a couple of notebooks while I was in there.
-
Like dots, but why not stars instead!
-
Classic perlin landscape plot design, turned into a fetching silver on black envelope.
-
I needed some example photos for the newsletter showing how there were a couple of different ways of making envelopes, the template I'd 3d printed, and also the scoring board I'd printed to help me fold the envelopes.
-
Here's the first envelope printed with lots of dots, I think it's pretty amazing.
-
This is part of the inspiration behind making envelopes.
-
Also had a go out cutting out an envelope from an old rejected 70s Pop print.
-
A bit more work on envelopes today.
-
I decided to make some envelopes, there's going to be a bit more to it than this.
-
Kitty seems to be having a bit of a moment.
