Am reading in “American Ramble” how kind strangers in small towns often bend over backwards to help another stranger like the author (Neil King) as he walks from D.C. to New York on foot.

My travels have come to a temporary end.

Altitude 508.58 ft Summersville, WV 84°F (feels 88°F) Partly Cloudy (wind 2.2 mph) Back to civilization for hot showers and laundry.

Altitude 347.15 ft Buchanan, VA 86°F (feels 91°F) Sunny (wind 2.5 mph) View from my backyard in a hammock.

Altitude 298.116 ft Bassett, VA 79°F (feels 80°F) Cloudy (wind 3.9 mph) …on Philpott lake in Virginia near Blue Ridge mountains.

Altitude 316.546 ft Wilkesboro, NC 77°F (feels 79°F) Mostly Cloudy (wind 5.1 mph) A nice respite for hot showers and electricity to charge everything up including me travel sore body.

Altitude 135.204 ft , SC 86°F (feels 87°F) Cloudy (wind 1.9 mph) …in Sumter National Forest.

You may have noticed I haven’t been traveling as much these past few months.

There is this tree overhanging just below where I sit.

Greenery all around.

I’ve been having more moments of feeling good and am not used to it.

I see rows and rows of cars lined up stuck in normal everyday traffic.

Hacked together a poor man’s coffee station for the back of the SUV for those long days or mornings I want to hang out in the woods or a park.

I’m finding one “secret” to meditating is to aim for at least 20-30 minutes of it minimum. 30 seems to be the sweet spot where the magic happens (ever so subtly though).

Had a very interesting dream last night because the feeling was very deep, meaning it’s a dream of significance usually.
