A fun little metal cartooning experiment

It only took 25 years or so, but I’m again able to play drums not as a vehicle for institutional-engrained fuckery, self-criticism/ -loathing, and unpleasant late nineties home life PTSD triggers, but as a means of relaxation.

Finally, after six+ weeks, my last yard installation of the summer; fitting, then, that I finished it on the first day of fall.

Improvised dogchild blockade apparatus for (theoretically) uninterrupted greenhouse floor drying.

Giving a sort-of weeknotes thing instead of a daily word-commitment review, etc – a purpose previously held by the newsletter.

First shot with iPhone18 Pro; my long-decrepit 14 picked a good time to stop taking a charge.

Tables!

After a day of much-needed rest that I didn’t get (spent it fighting a losing fight with the kitchen drain), returned to greenhouse construction.

Exterior frame trim done and floor begun: using cutoff scrap from the exterior for at least the middle section of the floor.

Enclosed.

build. greenhouse. wood. windows. more. continued/-ing.

Bit of a rainy wash-out, but got a fair amount done.

Fun flick - not at all the trainwreck that it was made out to be.

Built a door (the center is one of the shed doors from K’s grandfather’s shed), finished a roof.

Finally had some time amidst the throes of greenhouse construction to play in my metal toy box.

2/3 of the roof panels in, all roof beams painted; Kirby supervised from the pond waterfall.
