Orchidrabbit Updates

i finished this guy at the beginning of the year but just didn't post them until now. i really don't know why at all lol. i don't know what "pink trouble" is but this guy brings it.

had a bunch of star fabric on hand wanted to see if i could make something cute with that and some appropriately themed beads.

i've not played pokopia myself, but i've watched my roommate and friends play it. all of the ditto transformations are really cute, but i love the magnemite one the most!

it was really rainy yesterday and it reminded me of something that happened to me in the summer of 2015.

what a weird cat… i havent been able to make a clown doll recently, and i participated in a video game themed art show so i made one of my fav animal crossing characters!

full time work on top of also being a part time artist is hard. i do really like my job and thankfully i don't have to talk the majority of the day so its not physically or socially taxing on me, but i also just started a summer class so that's gonna take…

i had wanted to start writing this like 5 days ago but i kept losing focus. anyway, here it is now. a lot has happened and a lot has been happening. i guess one of the more notable things is that im actually gonna be employed again. it took just over a ye…

it's been a year, but i'm glad that violet has been here with me during it. she's the reason i started writing these little autobio comics as well so i wanted to commemorate her birthday (arrival day) with a comic about her. i love me funny little cat and…

i've been feeling down on drawing lately, so i wanted to draw my oldest oc plus her sister.

Shiny Pumpkaboo is the only shiny pokemon i've ever worked for because i really wanted a shiny extra large sized one.

Pumpkaboo is my favorite pokemon so as a personal project i decided to try to make my own plush pattern for them. i already have a pumpkaboo plush, its small and somewhere buried in a pile i have on my bookshelf lol, but i've been itching to make my own p…

The Green Pippins, i think people like to call him battat, but he doesn't have an official name beyond like. small mike as far as i can tell. i'm really proud of my Pippins design, i've been working on the pattern on and off since the beginning of the yea…

The pippins are probably some of my favorite stock NPCs across the Deltarune chapters. they're always very silly and a welcome face. i hope they show up in future chapters, but who knows if they will. i'm actually able to offer the pippins as a made to or…

it barely fit in the produce bag. the kale in question: Autobio Comics Gallery

A conversation I had with kitty a few days ago.

A conversation I had with my mom yesterday. orchidrabbitstore.etsy.com Autobio Comics Gallery

couldn't sleep last night and did some sketches and doodled this Pumpkaboo Gijinka. in college i also designed a pumpkaboo gijinka that's pretty similar to this, i managed to find a version of it online after i remembered i had done this before. i dont th…

well i'm opening an Etsy store next week!

i've been kind of in a drawing rut recently, i want to draw but i don't know what to draw. i did manage to make this though.

playing with gradient maps some more. i like drawing Kal, especially gives me an excuse to get more comfortable drawing environments since half of what makes them intriguing to me is slowly building a landscape in my mind of what kind of place he lives in.

There's just something really pleasing about having both Odd Todd and Even Steven in your jokers at the same time.

i really like Odd Todd. i'm very bad at chips builds though.

Mr.

realized i could make a bunch of other little Balatro jokers using the same pattern style as my mini clown/Jimbo pattern. i don't know if i want to do Every Balatro joker, but i did make a few and i'd like to make a few more.

she wants to be involved in everything. also happy late trans day of visibility.

a couple of years ago I made the first version of this gaster, but then something happened, i forget, that caused me to not to release photos or whatever of the final plush. after i had developed the Ramb and Plugboy plushie my roommate commented that my…

shoutout to densming on youtube for the really accessible AGS tutorial i've been following. it was made 17 years ago but it's still all applicable to the modern version of AGS with a few UI differences. goes to show how solid this software is if it's bare…

i've had a busy couple of weeks. i managed to find a job, but unfortunately my anxiety was so bad that i had to quit after one day. at least i tried, but man. it sucks. i don't want to linger on it too long, back on the job search then. i did release two…

ive been trying to nail down a visual style for Dantalion and i was experimenting with sprite sizes again. i think i like this size and with this i've locked down the size of the game so i can start working on designing the rooms and all the assets i need…

becuase i made Ramb, i felt might as well make a plugboy too!

i love you ramb deltarune. why are you so weird. why are you so sinister for no reason. why are you purple. i can't get this guy out of my head so i decided to make a plushie of him so now i won't be able to get him out of my house. the good news is, if y…

AEIOU is my precious little fursona, my logo, my little guy. he's a funny little rabbit that only has one eye and no arms. every few years i try to make a new AEIOU plushie and because i keep making plushies of him, its really interesting to see how he ch…

i'm trying to make a new game again. this time its something that's planned back to front, i have the entire thing designed on paper. i just need to make it. i'm using adventure game studio, which i tried learning a little while ago but then now im just r…

wanted a new animation for either my about page or landing page. i think it'll prob go on my about page.

happy valentines day to them. i'm working on a larger project with them, idk when it'll be done but i cant get my toxic yuri neopets out of my head. i love them.

the community clown for the design game that i did last year is finally done!

i'm still very unemployed, so this year is gonna be me trying some new things, so the first of them you can see right now: I've released my pattern and accompanying instructions for my Tsuchinoko fat snakes that you can purchase right now on my ko-fi!

drew this to motivate myself to finish my bg3 playthrough that i started last year where i wanted to romance Gale. i stopped playing because Minthara (the person i romanced my first playthrough) admitted feelings for me and i got caught in a stunlock of l…

a commission that i managed to finish literally on december 31st lol. this is the original character of a relative of mine, the protagonist of his webcomic Miss Doomsday. he actually designed her plushie form, making my life much easier in how to translate

this is one of two pieces i made for a show with the Otherwordly Arts Collective. i think dog day cicadas are sooo cute, a tree in our front yard has been a magnet for them for as long as we live here so i can always find molted shells or even little guys…

this is one of two pieces i made for a show with the Otherwordly Arts Collective. i love periodical cicadas so much, i even got my first tattoo of one this year. in both of my cicada pieces i picked a tree that is found in the area that the cicadas emerge…

i started playing Four Against Darkness with a friend, its a solo ttrpg that is cooperative capable, and since a party needs to be comprised of four characters, we both made two characters each. unfortunately 3/4 of the characters died when we were trying…

i was annoyed with something that i've now forgotten what it was. did a weird self portrait while in that mood.

here's my art summary for this year!

i couldn't sleep last night and i've been feeling weird about drawing lately so i opened up scryfall and looked up all the unique art of official tokens and drew a few (hence why they're pretty much in alphabetical order) then i wanted to draw filigree at…

we're in the final sessions of the campaign that i play Felix in, and in the last battle against the god king Sigmar (yea that guy), he ripped Felix's arm clean off because I rolled a nat 1 against Sigmar's grapple. its become a bit of a theme that charac…

i doodled this outfit for truck a little bit ago, and idk if its what i want to land on with his character but i thought it was cute (and kinda sexy). i've been leaning away from truknar being a tiefling-adjacent creature and moving him more toward someth…

i finally got a mutant acara in my classic neopets clone, but the one that is now mutant colored was not the one i originally wanted to be. the one i originally wanted to be mutant ended up plushie colored and i actually really liked that so i kept them l…

I usually don't play games the year they come out, either getting wrapped up in work or other things.

a couple of matching lads, all with playing card suit motifs!
