In years past, I would sleep in on February 13.

Taking a cue from a few other people, like my good friend Patrick Rhone, I've gone ahead and implemented a new Now page.

I found a post on Reddit a couple of weeks ago about a great playlist to listen to while programming or coding.

I think by now, most people have heard the phrase "quiet quitting" floating around, though some may not know what it means.

Over at the Relay.FM member's Discord, a lot of different conversations take place about a variety of topics.

Yesterday, I posted about how I consolidated some of my Mac helper apps.

[24 June 2024] Note: Apple made some changes to Shortcuts about a year ago that nuked the ability to send HTML emails.

As my daughter grows up, I'm realizing how much she values the attention my wife and I can give her, and how frustrated she becomes when she realizes that our attention is split.

As 2022 wraps up, it's time for me to iron out my yearly theme for 2023.

I've always been a huge fan of the "what's in my bag" posts.

I just spent 16 hours in a car over the last 2 days as my wife, my daughter, and I all zipped off to a vacation.

I wrote a note to myself at midnight a couple of nights ago: "Blog idea for myself: A Doer vs.

Once again, it's time for a new yearly theme.

Welcome back to the final installment of Music of my Life, a series of blog posts that started as an exercise of "what songs do I love" and quickly spiraled out of control into something that has occupied a ton of my time and sent me down a ton of nostalg…

Welcome back to Music of my Life, a series of blog posts that started as an exercise of "what songs do I love" and quickly spiraled out of control into something that has occupied a ton of my time and sent me down a ton of nostalgia rabbit holes.

I was talking with a group of friends in our Discord this past weekend, and a great prompt came up.

Man.

So I really wanted to do a theme this year.

I love writing.

When I woke up this morning, I was following 733 Twitter accounts.

<Insert the 30 Rock "What a year, huh?"

I KNEW that doing the smaller goals in 2020 would pay off in spades.

If you've been keeping tabs on my 2019 goals, it's pretty apparent that I whiffed on juuuuust about all of them.

Every year, I'm always anxious to find out what people's albums or songs of the year are.

Every year around mid-November, I find myself pouring over blogs, articles, and all of my saved recipes in order to find the perfect dishes for Thanksgiving.

If you polled the people closest to me and asked them to rate my patience on a scale from 1 to 10, I'm confident that most of the results would come in below a 5.

I've come to discover that it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to be your own hype man if you're not used to doing it on a regular basis.

Well, I intended to do this quarterly, but I kinda dropped the ball on it, so I guess I'll be doing 3 updates this year on my goals progress.

13 years ago today, I got news that completely changed the course of my life.

My job requires me working on computers all day.

I don't actually know if my mom liked cooking, but she did it a lot and was good at it.

Congratulations, everyone.

When I said I had no idea what I wanted to do with this site the other day, I lied.

Well, I did it.
