Blog - Mike Cann

Building the frame and assembling [the hardware](/posts/mikes-mirror-hardware) for my Smart Mirror was a tough but fun journey.

So I decided to build a Smart Mirror as a hobby project.

I have been wanting to do this for a while and as I recently found myself with a little spare time I decided to finally do it... build a Smart Mirror. ...

Its been a while since I wrote about my Chrome extension Trello Tasks but thats not for lack of interest in the project.

Just a quick one today, I thought I would share a little tool I wrote to help with converting data exported from Exodus to be used in CoinTracking.com. ...

Bit of a departure from the usual technically focused blog posts today to talk about a little "[lifehack](https://www.lifehacker.com.au)" that I use frequently to help me remember things.

For the past 3 years (almost) I have been working as a software developer at TapSlots in Perth Australia.

To round off my current Machine Learning adventures I gave a talk at a local Machine Learning group. ...

In my [last post](/machine-learning/a-game-developer-learns-machine-learning-a-little-deeper/) we dug a little deeper into machine learning by starting from scratch and training an agent on a vastly simplified version of mr nibbles.

In my last post on Machine Learning we followed Unity's Getting Started tutorial and managed to get the "Balance Ball" example project up and running.

For the past couple of weeks I have run a Sunday market stall for my side-project-business Above Under.

Its been a while since I have done a hackathon.

I last wrote about Markd [back in September of last year](/posts/portfolio/projects/introducing-markd-pinterest-for-people/) so I think its about time I gave you an update on our latest progress on the project. ...

For too long I have suffered from a slow blog.

Ever since I was little I have always found it easier to sleep if I have some sort of background noise.

After our adventures in Central Australia we started heading south, first stopping off at the curiously peculiar Coober Pedy. ...

After Townsville we continued to work our way down the east coast of Australia.

A few days after leaving Daly Waters and the NT we arrived into Cairns in the north of Queensland. ...

Following on from our travels through the East Kimberly region we passed over the border from Western Australia into the Northern Territory.

After the relaxing couple of weeks in Broome we were back on the road again.

Wow, its been a while since I have written an update but so much has been going on I have struggled to find the time!

Just a quick one and some good news on the nibbles front since the horror story that was my [Google Play debacle](https://www.mikecann.blog/misc/why-i-probably-wont-be-making-another-mobile-game-ever-again/).

A few weeks ago I got a friendly reminder from Apple that my Developer license was about to expire.

Over the Christmas period Microsoft were running a promotion to developers; "Publish your apps to the Windows store before the 23rd of December and we will give you some Microsoft store credit".

I have been meaning to write this post for a while now and since I have spent most of this month back in the UK visiting friends and family I don't have all that much to share technically so I thought it was about time I got this post done.

I really enjoy making Chrome Extension, I love how fast it is to go from idea to implementation then availability on the store.

Its been a while since I have posted about [Post To Tumblr](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/post-to-tumblr/dbpicbbcpanckagpdjflgojlknomoiah?

Last week the guys over at the excellent [Pixel Sift](https://pixelsift.com.au/episodes/) reached out and asked if I would like to do an interview with them for their Podcast.

Yesterday marked the culmination of many months of hard work, we [released Mr Nibbles Forever to the Steam store](https://store.steampowered.com/app/448050/)!
