Downy Woodpecker Is undecorating even a word?

I kid you not...I have been known to exaggerate or imagine that something is extraordinary when it is not.

This is one of my favorite times to walk to the neighborhood pond.

Many of you have followed my blog for close to 20 years now.

There are so many great places to hike here in North Central Florida and I catch myself, saying 'OH...this is my favorite trail'.

We may not have sandy beaches and seashells in this part of Florida but we do have The World Equestrian Center.

We're discovering the 'real' Florida so we won't see seashells on white sandy beaches!

When you suffer a loss, you have choices.

I've felt uplifted this week.

I went for a hike....not surprised?

I will have a challenge to find the beauty that surrounds me this Spring but I know I'll spend time in nature.

I had to gas up the Jeep last week so I took a little drive over to Ross Prairie and actually hiked for one hour!

It's just the best time of the year here in Florida!

We've had some nice Fall weather lately and this week I stood in my courtyard and took a few photos looking onto the golf course.

I looked back at the past couple of years and I took a lot of photos that I didn't share so I have plenty to choose from.

My sweet husband has been in the hospital all week but at least they were able to give him a cancer treatment there.

I've gone all of October without a single hike but my good friend, J. has kept me informed with her Greenway sightings.

No one wants to be inside when the weather is so beautiful here in Florida right now.

I heard someone say that about Cardinals and I've never forgotten.

It will be a few months before we get any cold temps here in North Central Florida but some of the vines and trees change color at the end of the summer and give us that hint of Fall.
