It was some time last year, back in good ol' 2013, when my wife bought herself a lava lamp from Amazon (what don't we buy from Amazon these days?).
-
Pardon the title.
-
It was long ago, feels like a dream, when Occams Electric Toothbrush did me a service only a true father can: he lent me his very own physical copy of Eternal Darkness.
-
I'm one of like three people in the world that does anything with Ruby on Windows, so I run into all kinds of fun things, because everything was written and tested on Linux.
-
I recently fixed a very interesting bug that had been stumping me for a long time.
-
Hello everybody.
-
Short blog here, just pointing out a weird problem I ran into the other day in the handling of shared_ptrs.
-
Well, it's 2013, and it's looking like it'll be another great year for sandwiches... in that sandwiches still exist, and I'm still going to be eating them.

Hi there.
-
Surely some or hopefully all of you have seen the trailers for the upcoming Wreck-it-Ralph (coming soon to a theater near you!).
-
I don't know what exactly I want to write about The Last Express.
-
I could probably end this entire blog post with like three words: "that's pretty tasty," but I'm a wordy guy, so we'll talk about this unnecessarily.
-
This year was--I say--was a heck of a time, the best of times, even.

I've reached what I would call basically "v1.0" of MungeTLS, so I'm going through the exercise of making a pass over the code with a fine-toothed comb, cleaning up lots of things, and documenting the heck out of everything.
-
A long time ago I was figuring out how to get public/private key encryption working on Windows with CryptAPI.
-
Hallo there!
-
It's no news to any of my friends that I'm severely addicted to Dark Souls at this point.
-
My method for buying new bread is usually to look at whatever's on sale at the grocery store, because I'm a cheapskate.
-
Woohoo, we're gonna crank out these catch-up sandwich blogs like nobody's business.

Hello again, everybody.
-
A little oversight I had in the development of MungeTLS was that in all my testing, I'd basically hard-coded a certificate for the server to use.
-
At this point in my MungeTLS project, I think I've taken care of basically all the hard stuff I initially had planned.
-
So at this point in the MungeTLS project--my custom implementation of TLS 1.0/1.2--I've successfully gotten the premaster secret decrypted.
-
Get it!?
-
Here I am, continuing my ongoing saga of cryptography related coding on Windows.
-
The other day, Fame Designer and I were talking about game design, which we do almost every time we talk.
-
Do I bother?
-
I'm continuing my adventures with encryption in Windows.
-
One of the things I try to do on this blog is talk about problems I encounter and solutions I arrive at, with the slim hope that someone else may stumble upon it and say, "Oh, thank god, someone figured this out!

If you haven't played through Journey yet, stop reading this now.
-
More Dark Souls!
-
On the project I'm working on instead of working on my MUD (since I haven't felt inspired about it lately) I'm in need of doing some protocol analysis.
-
Last time we talked about template partial specialization and some ways that it gets hung up.
-
In the programming project I'm working on in my spare time, I'm using some C++ templates.
-
Dark Souls is an RPG, right?
-
If you listen to me on Twitter it's no secret that I play a lot of Dark Souls.
-
Welp, that's enough about toppings.
-
Been a little while since I wrote one of these.
-
November is winding down here, and the smell of baking bread is in the air.
-
It's funny how stories get changed as they're passed down from generation to generation.
-
It's been like three days since my last sandwich post, wherein I talked about some bread I was eating.
-
It's time for another episode of Sandwich Mechanics.
-
The title says it all.
-
Hi there.
-
For some reason the keyboard filter driver that comes with my new Asus netbook doesn't work properly.
-
Hello, thoroughly fictional readers.
-
My childhood is riddled with strange, obscure PC games.

Recently I was clued in to a thing called Component-based architecture by one of my good friends.
