The last word!
-
Had a great day!
-
My "New Model" mandolin (as I'm currently calling it) has now been completed.
-
Well, this is another long video but so, so much to get through!
-
Time now to shape the neck!
-
In this episode, I design and make a new jig for routing the neck joint.
-
As you’ll know, once in a while, I like to do resto project: just for fun really!
-
The body of the mandolin is now together, so what’s next?
-
Here’s Part 3 of my New Model Mandolin build series.
-
I would have bent my first set of sides during my first year at the London College of Furniture (1976/77) and I’ve bent a fair few bits of wood since.
-
No sooner one mandolin is complete than another comes along!
-
The electric mandolin (e-mando) is now complete!
-
Get a cup of tea, this is a long one!
-
Here’s the latest video, with the e mando coming together nicely!
-
With the body completed (for the time being), the next job is the neck.
-
I’ve just started building a new solid-body electric mandolin, haven't done one for awhile.
-
This mandolin has now been sold, thanks for looking.
-
Just a few photos for you................
-
And here we have it; the completed bass!
-
In this video, the penultimate in the series, the bass gets the Karate Kid treatment and its various components re-fitted, ready for its final testing.
-
The neck’s done, so in this video the body shaping is completed and a few other bits sorted out!
-
With the fretboard/frets completed, the next stage is to shape the neck.
-
Now is the time to prepare the fretboard (compound radius etc.), install the frets and dress them.
-
With the first stages of work completed on the body and neck, they can be joined together and fretboard fitted
-
I'm now on to the neck!
