Surprise!

The final county was a bit of a departure from the last few, but I didn’t have any commentary left in me.

I feel like I was just in Cass County… That said, again with the Midwestern square towers!

Once again, illumination was a winner for the courthouse!

Looking at the lovely courthouse, I immediately thought myself clever to recognize it as Second Empire.

Night becomes you, you piece of the Midwest!

It was just beginning to get darker when I arrived so fireflies lit my way as I walked across the lawn to the front of the Cass County Courthouse.

The Shelby County Courthouse was odd for a couple of reasons.

It was a weird situation I found myself in.

Heightened expectations strike again!
