The Small Web Log

Lately the web has been under a relentless onslaught of scrapers and other bots.

Is "nothing" the complete absence of stuff, or can it be said to exist as a negative space of sorts?

Today I'm going to be thinking out loud about this blog, the rest of my website and whatever springs to mind.

In the past fifteen to twenty years, the web has turned into an application delivery platform.

When I started the Small Web Log, my plan was to post maybe once every ten weeks.

Sometime in 2000 or 2001 I discovered A.L.I.C.E. and the Artificial Intelligence Markup Language.

It's not my first time saying this, but thoughts like to circle back now and then.

Hot take: lately everyone talks about moving to Signal.

I only wrote one little story in 2024, and even that was fan fiction.

This blog exists for all the wrong reasons: I recently discovered the Marmite static site generator, and wanted to try it out in production.
