To be clear, by “oldest name” I mean a name belonging to old people, not a name that is itself very old.

More than ten (!!)

Usually I’d start a blog post with some blathering about what inspired me to do the project I’m writing up.

I haven’t been working on personal dataviz in a long time due to a few things, mostly a lack of time, lack of inspiration, and general burnout.

This is my first personal vis project in nearly six months, and I wish I were posting it under happier circumstances.

It’s been nearly a year since I last posted, for several reasons… I do dataviz full time now and don’t have much creative juice left over after work The creative juice I do have is going entirely into photorealistic embroidery (lol).

I just hit my one-year anniversary as a viz journalist at Axios, and wow, what a ride.
