It’s been almost a week since I got my new iPhone 17 Pro Max, and I figured I’d write a short little update about my experience with the new phone.
-
Yup, I ended up getting an orange iPhone 17 Pro Max.
-
When updating my phone to iOS 26 I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
-
As I’m writing this iOS 26 is about an hour or so away from launching in my area, and as I always do with major OS releases I plan on hitting that update button as soon as it’s available.
-
Fucking finally, right?
-
So, if you somehow missed it, the new iPhone 17 line was just announced last night to all the usual Apple fanfare.
-
The last month was quite a busy one for me.
-
Jupiter Hell Classic was released in early access on Steam not too long ago and I’ve been playing the hell out it for the last few days.
-
Very much unlike my previous attempt at creating my own roguelike I have not (yet) abandoned the task this time around.
-
I’ve been spending my free time these last few weeks learning Godot and trying to wrap my non-programmer brain around the ins and outs of GDscript.
-
A few days ago I finally got around to watching the recent four-part Dwarf Fortress documentary from Noclip, and it reminded me how much I absolutely adore that game and how much I miss playing it.
-
August has arrived on the calendar and as always it feels like the summer is flying by way too fast.
-
Just over a year ago, I wrote about how I was starting to learn the game engine Godot and that I was wanting to try my hand at creating a few small games.
-
And now for something completely different.

From Louie Mantia: "The web is so cool.

Summer is here and so is another fresh batch of links from yours truly.
-
As I’m writing this I’m on my way to my penultimate day of work before my usual three week summer vacation starts.
-
Good Sunday morning, everyone!
-
New month, new links.
-
I have been without a proper home office set-up for about six months at this point.
-
Tried something a little different with this one, straying a bit more into the realm of fantasy art than what I’ve previously done.
-
I don’t normally jump on early access software features but the preview that the Obsidian team posted of the up-coming Bases feature was much to compelling for me to resist.
-
I’m still working on rebuilding my creative momentum.
-
A few days ago the Obsidian team announced the upcoming Bases feature over on Reddit.

The last month has been incredibly busy for me.
-
April was quite a busy month for me, with a lot of my time being spent getting the new house ready for us to move in to.
-
Today is moving day!
-
I love reading about people doing or creating things that I could never think of, much less actually manage to accomplish myself.
-
I’m currently enjoying my Easter vacation.
-
It’s been a little while since the last time I posted a home screen update.
-
I consider myself a very patient person.
-
Had to get my mind off of all the home renovation work that is currently occupying the entirety of my brain.
-
While I’m up to my neck in doing renovations on our new house, doing everything we can to get it ready before we’re moving in - oh my god, it’s so close and we have so much more to do, aaah!!!
-
Is Anyone Else Tired of the Internet?
-
I know I mentioned just a few days ago that my art-output would be a little limited for a while due to dealing with renovations of our new house.
-
Ever since we got the keys to our new house about two weeks ago things have been, predictably, quite busy.
-
Lately I’ve been spending less time endlessly scrolling my various social media feeds.
-
Recently I’ve been wanting to get back into making some music.
-
Brent Patterson over on Mastodon recently posted a link to Displacement X.
-
Cyberdeck Handheld A really, really well done DIY cyberdeck.
-
Today I had a day off work and I’ve been feeling pretty good lately.
-
This blog post by Robert Birming[1] popped up my RSS feed the other day and it very much resonated with me.
-
Well, technically we bought a house about a month ago and I just haven’t gotten around to writing about it until now.
-
A new quick piece I worked on this weekend.
-
Another month, another dump of links I’ve collected since the last post.
-
I’m finally starting to feel better again after being sick for two weeks, and so for the last few days I’ve been working on this image that I just finished.
