After constructing the Dome check-fixture (shown on a previous post) I decided to go all-out and make a foam model of the structure.

I’ve always had a fascination with tug boats, especially ones that are very small.

This was a log I found on a beach nearby where I live.

Erik de Buhr designed the 60 sq. ft.

An early rendition of a 16 foot diameter Beehive shaped dome.

Owen used six 55 gallon plastic barrels and I’m guessing decking boards for the platform.

Melinda Shaw decided to help out some of the homeless in her community by assembling a few teams of volunteers to help assemble the following pods.

This is the original Coro Speed boat just before the first launch.
