Ever since last MARCHintosh I wanted to figure out an easy way to get quality images of the things I was seeing on my classic Macs- a SE/30 and Quadra605 and the Quadra800 server than ran the BBS and AppleInternetRouting software.

I had lots of fun last year for MARCHintosh and made available a basic AFP share via my raspberry pi and just pretty much dumped all my stuff there.

This may be the easiest jdk installation I’ve ever done on mac.

I’ve enjoyed using Brydge MacBookPro stands for my older Intel MBPs and when I found out they have a M3 stand and dock I decided to go ahead and purchase this for my 14″ M3 MacBookPro.

Update 3 (March 8): The Quadra800 as AIR is totally stable, I’m enjoying all the fun things on other sites (using a SE/30 as workstation) and playing with getting screenshots converted back and forth.

Subtext is an amazing, modern, retro application for System 6 (and 7.1) Macs.

Sooner or later the floppies on these old macs are going to need a refurb, a cleaning or have the eject gear replaced.

Having a BBS is fun, but traffic is what a BBS is about- exchanging information and discussions between people.
