So yes – this week I finished my spell at the National Data Library / Office of the Chief Data Officer / Government Digital Service.

Today is the 20th anniversary of my first ‘proper’ blogpost.

This week was mainly occupied by the first phase of my farewell to NDL|GDS tour – spending three days (ish) in Whitechapel.

I was back at work this week but it has felt pretty odd if I am honest.

One of the (many) things that makes me feel like a dinosaur at work is my stubborn commitment to the principle of ‘make things open, it makes things better’.

I’ve been off work on a true ‘staycation’ the last couple of weeks.

I’m writing this to hold myself accountable as much as anything.

Sometimes it is important to give people their flowers – especially when (a) they do something that makes your life easier and (b) are already partners in crime.

Well gosh that was quite the week wasn’t it?

A while ago I mentioned that I was having a chat about whether I had an idea for a book with a genuine, real life publisher.
