We had about an hour of glorious weather turning the corner through Unimak Pass.

We’re in that state that evokes the (possibly apocryphal) assertion from Anacharsis that “There are three kinds of people – those dead, those alive, and those at sea.”

Such a strange series of double takes on the way outbound this morning.

I know I’ve written about this before, but I’m on a plane, and am apparently too cheap to spring for the inflight internet to check.

Heads up that this is really just a what-I-did-this-past-week ramble without any underlying theme or clever message.

Last fall I wrote about being halfway down the slippery slope of becoming a bonafide “singer-songwriter.”

One of the insidious downsides of social media, for a writer, is that by letting you dribble narrative out into bite-sized snapshots, it saps your need to keep it all together and arrange it into an actual narrative.
