Cherry and Spoon

Nina Simone: Four Women premiered at Park Square Theatre in March of 2016 to great acclaim.

Commonweal Theatre Company is in their 38th year of producing professional theater in Southern Minnesota; I've been a Twin Cities Theater Blogger for 16 years, and I can't believe it took me this long to visit them.

I've been sitting outside watching Mixed Precipitation's unique, playful, modern opera / pop music mashups for over ten years now, and it's one of my favorite #TCTheater summer traditions.

Minnesota Fringe is over and the new #TCTheater season has not yet begun, leaving a gap that we have come to count on Dark and Stormy Productions to fill.

It's been way too long since I've been to the longest running comedy theater in America - our very own Brave New Workshop, currently performing at the Dudley Riggs Theatre (named after BNW's founder) on Hennepin Avenue, operated by Hennepin Arts.

One of the most beloved movies of all time (at least to those of us of a certain generation) is back on stage and LIVE!

Minnesota Fringe may be over, but adventurous art continues!

The 33rd annual Minnesota Fringe Festival, my 16th, flew by in a whirlwind of shows, friends, snacks in place of meals, parking, cold brew, traipsing across Cedar-Riverside, getting tokens, giving tokens, and standing in lines.
